WHOIS lookup
Who a domain is registered with, when it expires, which nameservers it delegates to, and whether a transfer or delete lock is set. This reads RDAP — the registries' own structured replacement for the old port-43 WHOIS text — so the dates and the status codes come back exactly as the registry publishes them. Most registries redact the registrant's contact details under GDPR; that is a state this page reports, not a failure. A registry that does not answer is reported as unknown, which never means the name is free.
