Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of DNS Doctor at dnsdoctor.dev — the free scanner and the paid Monitor service. By using the site you agree to them. Plain language, no surprises.
The free scanner
Anyone can scan a domain for free, with no account. We diagnose SPF, DMARC, DKIM, MX, DNS hardening, domain and SSL expiry, and blacklist status, and we generate the exact record to fix what we find. We rate-limit scans per IP to keep the service free for everyone. The diagnosis is provided as-is: DNS is yours to change, and you are responsible for reviewing any record before you publish it.
Monitor (paid)
Monitor is a subscription that watches your domains for record drift, ingests your DMARC aggregate reports, and alerts you. It starts with a 14-day trial — no card required. After the trial it is $12 per month or $120 per year until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period.
Billing
Payments are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle processes the transaction, handles tax and VAT, and issues your receipt; their buyer terms apply to the purchase itself. We never see or store your card details.
Acceptable use
Scan domains you own or are authorised to check. Don't use the service to attack, overload, or probe infrastructure you don't control, and don't attempt to defeat the rate limits. We may suspend access that abuses the service.
No warranty
We work hard to make our diagnoses correct — the authoritative record is generated by a deterministic engine, never by AI — but the service is provided without warranty. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using it. Always review a generated record before publishing it to your DNS.
